We’ve created from scratch Ponto SJ, the new portal of the Jesuits in Portugal. A digital space that aims to promote dialogue and reflection. Assuming its Christian and Ignatian inspiration, wants to provide a temperate climate that enables a deep and discerning understanding of the most remarkable events of our time.
It’s a robust, safe and flexible network of websites, that brought together daily updated news and articles, and almost every portuguese jesuit institution or organization. This portal, with custom design and development, supports eCommerce solutions (donations, tickets and selling produts), a global calendar, multiple access users, image optimization tools, social networks integrations, custom wordpress backoffice, central management and updates.
MAVA keeps the website maintenance and development, security and performance monitoring.
The Client
Society of Jesus in Portugal
The Society of Jesus is a religious order of the Roman Catholic Church, founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius of Loyola, with the approval of Pope Paul III. It was Ignatius’ original plan that the Jesuits be travelling missionaries who would preach and administer the sacraments wherever there was the hope of accomplishing the greater good. The Jesuits are the largest male religious order in the world, with approximately 19,000 members internationally.
